Obstetrical emergencies are covered elsewhere.
There are usually only 2 gynecological conditions that are 'emergencies'
in that they require 'resuscitation' - ovarian torsion and severe vaginal bleeding.
The biggest challenge is sorting out the diagnosis of acute pelvic pain
and heavy vaginal bleeding.
Like many areas, management involves simultaneously
providing resuscitation/analgesic etc along with
diagnostic measures to figure out the diagnosis.
