Rural Emergency Medicine Simulation Training and Resource - British Columbia
This is not an exhaustive discussion of disaster management
from a rural hospital perspective, as that is a huge topic.
The problem with 'disaster management' generally is 'threat perception'.
If you believe a disaster is very unlikely or will never happen,
your interest for being prepared for it is minimal or nil.
Which is exactly why as health professionals we should all take this topic
very seriously as you never know when you may be in the middle of a disaster.
